Welcome Summer

What a difference a year makes! We are delighted to welcome Summer along with reduced restrictions to our campus. As we prepare for July 4th celebrations across our country, we are so thankful for the simple freedoms we have gained from a vaccinated campus. Seeing the smiles return of all our residents and staff has been quite a joy. The welcome sight of family and friends gathering again on our campus including the celebration of resident birthdays is quite heartwarming. For the continued health and safety of our campus, we ask that all visitors send email requestavisit@mahova.com to make prior arrangements.

Most recently resident meetings, gatherings and dinners have returned allowing our residents to freely socialize with one another. Recent activities enjoyed by residents and staff alike include our annual carnival, petting zoo and employee of the quarter event. The residents also enjoyed the return of their annual summer solstice dinner highlighting the culinary talents of our dining team and table service from many of our board members and senior staff.

We remain grateful for the fortitude and positive attitudes of our residents and staff. We were delighted to learn that the Home was once again listed as a Top Workplace in 2021 for the fourth year in a row. This is quite a testament for the Home given all that has been required of our staff during these challenging times. As we move forward, the health and safety of our residents and staff remain of utmost importance.

We appreciate more than ever the support of all those who made it possible to deliver care to our residents on our campus as well as those services provided in the communities across Virginia in our Outreach Program. Thank you for your support! We wish each and everyone a happy and healthy Summer!
