MAHOVA In Your Home
The MAHOVA In Your Home program extends Masonic generosity beyond Richmond, offering in-home healthcare support with means-based assistance to eligible Masonic family members 65 and older who wish to remain in their homes but still need care.
Who is Eligible?
This program serves individuals who would qualify for admission to MAHOVA but prefer to stay in their own homes. Eligible candidates include:
- Master Masons (age 65+) in good standing for at least 10 years, with the last 5 years in a Virginia Masonic Lodge under the Grand Lodge A.F. & A.M. of Virginia.
- Wives or widows (age 65+) of a qualified Master Mason, provided they were married for at least five continuous years before his passing and have not remarried.
Final eligibility is determined by MAHOVA on a case-by-case basis.

How It Works
The application process is simple—no need for Masonic Lodge approval. If you or someone you know qualifies, contact us directly:

What Services Are Provided?
The goal is to help Masons and their families live independently while receiving necessary care. MAHOVA works with local organizations to provide:

- Access to local healthcare & respite care
- Home health support (based on an assessment and available funding)
This program is available with means-based assistance to qualified recipients.

MAHOVA’s In Your Home team is here to help—because staying at home shouldn’t mean going without care.
Additional Information: MAHOVA serves as the administrator of the MAHOVA In Your Home program, coordinating and assisting in funding for those qualifying, who need home health services across the state of Virginia through contracted home health providers. While we facilitate access to care, we do not directly provide the medical or personal care services. All care is delivered by licensed home health agencies, and their providers are responsible for the direct provision of services. Our role is to try to provide for eligible participants a point of contact and effective coordination with available providers in your home area, as well as financial assistance depending on your circumstances.
