What is Evergreen?

The Evergreen Campaign is a Craft-wide, multi-year effort to ensure the future of MAHOVA is secure, in perpetuity. It allows each of us to fulfill our Masonic obligations in ways far beyond what any of us could do alone. Through gifts of Real Estate, Stocks, Cash Donations, Charitable Gift Annuities, IRA Distributions and Bequests, often times providing tax incentives, you can help ensure that the Crown Jewel of Virginia Freemasonry is here to serve our Brethren, their families and our communities for many generations to come.

Why Evergreen?

By supporting the Evergreen Campaign, you can become part of MAHOVA’s historic mission, one of only two strictly Masonic, continuing-care communities remaining in America. All on a storied campus, that is utilized by the entire Masonic Family. It also helps provide funds for in-home assistance to our brothers, their spouses and widows, wheresoever dispersed, throughout the Commonwealth, with our MAHOVA In Your Home Program.

Through the past several decades, the cost of these services have increased significantly and have negatively impacted our endowment. By coming together as one family, we can help, aid and assist each other for the next 100 years. This mission has not changed since our founding in 1890. We are at a pivotal point in our history and by acting now, we can work to ensure we all honor that solemn obligation in perpetuity.

How can you help?

Committing to contribute to the Evergreen Campaign, even a small amount, on a regular basis.
Conveying all or a portion of real estate or stock assets to MAHOVA for conversion to endowment funding.
Assist in identifying folks who may be interested in helping our campaign and connect them with your MAHOVA Ambassadors.
Remembering MAHOVA in your estate plans. We can connect you with someone locally for assistance.
Assigning a portion of your required minimum distribution from your IRAs to MAHOVA, annually on a potentially tax-free basis.
Spread the word about MAHOVA’s mission and accomplishments to your family and friends.
